The Guggenheim Museum has invited illy to be part of a three-month exhibit entitled theanyspacewhatever which features 10 contemporary artists selected by the Guggenheim to showcase individual projects which create a simultaneous, coexisting exhibit in the spiral layers of the Museum’s Rotunda. As part of the Bar Liberte exhibit, created by artists Douglas Gordon and Rirkrit Taravinija, illy serves as “performance art” making the artist vision of Bar Liberte both functional and “alive.” The exhibit showcases three illy Baristas serving espresso and cappuccino with illy’s new iperEspreresso systems. Bar Liberte is located between ramps 4 and 5 of the Guggenheim Museum.
